Sornal has never had any great affection for his father Noen. He's a very cheerful outgoing man and Sornal finds that annoying, on top of the problems they had between them anyway.

Noen hasn't always done right by Sornal, but it doesn't matter if he apologizes, unfortunately, since Sornal has a tendency to hold a grudge.

Also, Sornal got tired of him commenting on his height when he was 12 and reached the same height as his father.
